So 6000kms into the trip and we are currently in Wyndham, WA’s most northern town. There’s not much here, lots of history and they ship iron ore outta here to China. We’ve come for the fishing so hopefully tomorrow there will be some fish photos!! On Saturday we hit the Gibb River road, so no phone service or wi-fi for 3 weeks.
All is going well. There is a prosecco crisis and I only have one bottle left which will be gone after tomorrow night. Never mind, I did find my fav pinot grigio in a bottleshop in Kununurra! I had planned to buy some cask wine but there is no cask wine sold in Kununurra so that plan had to change!! We are loaded up with vacuum packed meat, fresh veggies, beer for Mr C etc and very excited to be heading out on Saturday.

To finish off this post I’ll put up our bragging photos. Had the most amazing day out in the Cambridge gulf yesterday, I caught my very first barra, happy dance. And then Mr C caught the biggest fish of the day, 124cm threadfin salmon which he put back because he already had a 102 cm one!!!! Amazing experience accompanied by a very casual saltwater croc that swam around the boat, chilled out and posed for photos!! Very surreal north WA fishing experience.

Seeya on the flip side of the Gibb River Road.!!
